Nike London x Off-White™ Presents "Off-Campus"

For the launch of Virgil Abloh’s “The Ten” Off-White™ collaboration with Nike late last year (2017), London was presented with the “Off Campus” event, a series of creative and athletic workshops which united sneaker and fashion enthusiasts together between the 14th and 19th September.

The 16th September 2017 was a day that will forever be one of my most memorable. Having been one of 30 people to be selected amongst thousands who applied, I took part within the “Culture Run” workshop which sounded very scary with the word “RUN” at first however, I wasn’t going to back out of this one and was 100% fully committed to the challenge. At the beginning of the event, we were all given our own Off-White t-shirt with the caption “RUNNING” at the back and the Nike logo designed into the classic Off-White text on the front, which was designed especially for the run. The “Culture Run” consisted of a long distance run through the streets of London with Grime Legend JME and DJ and Music Programmer Skinny Macho, heading over to a surprise visit to The Tate for a guided tour around the museum. After an hour’s tour of the museum, we flew back through the streets to the temporary base and then headed down to the Nike Lab in Shoreditch to check out “The Ten” reconstructed iconic Nike sneaker collaboration and has the chance to purchase a pair weeks before their release. Of course, I went for the Vapormax! Ultimate comfort levels and my first pair of Vapormax’s.
